graphics

I just wanted to say -- and I hope somehow this gets translated and to the person(s) responsible -- but the attention to detail in the game graphics is really impressive. I'm a graphic artist and designer, so I often notice things that are 'off', and there are darned few of them here.

The game 'chrome' is really beautifully done. Nice design and Photoshop chops. (Er, 'skills', in case 'chops' doesn't translate.)

Most impressive to me, however, are the castle mission scenes. The looping animations, in almost every case, are so skillfully done that they don't feel like loops, even though in reality they're quite short. The realistic details, like the way water droplets bounce off of rock, are very good.

It would have been a thousand times easier to make static scenes; I know those animations were tons of work, and I appreciate that Playa went the extra mile there.

I have to agree, I've never quite seen anything like this in the games I've played, at least for Browser-Based game.

The graphics are very nice. I love the animations in the mission screens. If you really have nothing better to do for 30 seconds, they make the wait more fun watching bats flying around or the water splashing up from a gravestone.

If I had to be picky, its that I'm almost forced to play it in full screen. The whole screen scales up, but doesn't let you scale it up independent of window size. It would be nice if you could scale up the important part to see the text and characters better, maybe losing some of the gargoyles off the corner. It seems to look much sharper in full screen.

I've passed the support to the artists.

I agree as well, I made a thread on how nice the animated and non-animated graphics are in the game, It's also nice to see new graphics as you keep leveling up in the game :)

How about a scavenger hunt for the original photos used to make the castle backgrounds. I would be cool to see an A-B comparison.

Applause to the Graphics Artists...

Enough mentioned on this subject already I guess, except to add my own admiration (as an artist) on the quality of the graphics, and to suggest (subject to Playa Games GmbH rules on the matter) that it would be great for the artists concerned to be publicly named on this forum (subject to their approval too, naturally!)... they deserve the kudos! :ay:

Hehehehehee

Well... the only time I am an artist is in the local social venue... but I do think they are pretty... :af:
