Sort of "going to the gym"?

Isn't that more or less covered by those potions you can buy which raise stats permanently?

I believe Ray is suggesting this in lieu of working. You'd need to have a chance to earn more stats than you're capable of purchasing to make it worth it.

Something which let you get quite a load of stat-points in one go?

Hmm,....

Firstly, if so it must be made to loose its effect the more times you use it to raise a stat-score (in other words: not be level dependent) or we'll end up with lots of level 5s with an average stat-score of 5000.

Secondly, i would suggest it as being Stat-spesific. In other words; on one stat at the time.
And that raising the Con-stat (which helps survival most of all) would be the costliest and/or take longer time than the others.

Thirdly, after raising a stat through training you would have to raise it by the same amount by paying for it before you could go training that particular stat again.

....................

Uhm, i'll curb my babbling at this point. M(
